Enterprise Linux Administration (RHCSA) and Automation with Ansible (RHCE)

What is the RHCSA course?

This course is geared toward Windows system administrators, network administrators, and other system administrators who are interested in supplementing current skills or backstopping other team members, in addition to Linux system administrators who are responsible for these tasks:

• Configuring, installing, upgrading, and maintaining Linux systems using established standards and procedures
• Providing operational support
• Managing systems for monitoring system performance and availability
• Writing and deploying scripts for task automation and system administration

As a result of attending this RH124 course, the participants should be able to perform essential Linux administration tasks, including installation, establishing network connectivity, managing physical storage, and basic security administration.

After completing the RH124 course the participants should be able to demonstrate these skills:

• Access the command line
• Manage files from the command line
• Create, view, and edit text files
• Manage local users and groups
• Monitor and manage Linux processes
• Control services and daemons
• Control access to files with file system permissions
• Analyze and store log files
• Configure and secure the OpenSSH service
• Install and update software packages
• Access Linux file systems
• Manage Linux networking

As a result of attending this RH134 course, the participants should be able to perform the key tasks needed to become a full-time Linux administrator. They will be introduced to more advanced administrative topics, such as storage management using LVM, SELinux management, and automated installation. This course goes deeper into enterprise Linux administration, including file systems and partitioning, logical volumes, SELinux, firewall configuration, and troubleshooting.

After attending this course the participants should be able to demonstrate these skills:

• Install Red Hat Enterprise Linux using Kickstart
• Manage file systems and logical volumes
• Manage scheduled jobs
• Access network file systems
• Manage SELinux
• Control firewalls
• Perform server management with the Cockpit web management utility
• Troubleshoot and obtain support
• Run containers

What is the RHCE course?

This course is developed toward Linux system administrators, DevOps engineers, infrastructure automation engineers, and systems design engineers who are responsible for these tasks:

• Automating configuration management
• Ensuring consistent and repeatable application deployment
• Provisioning and deployment of development, testing, and production servers
• Integrating with DevOps continuous integration/continuous delivery workflows

After completing the course the participants should be able to demonstrate these skills:

• Install and configure Ansible or Red Hat Ansible Engine on a control node.
• Create and manage inventories of managed hosts, as well as prepare them for Ansible automation.
• Run individual ad hoc automation tasks from the command line.
• Write Ansible Playbooks to consistently automate multiple tasks and apply them to managed hosts.
• Parameterize playbooks using variables and facts, and protect sensitive data with Ansible Vault.
• Write and reuse existing Ansible roles to simplify playbook creation and reuse code.
• Automate common Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration tasks using Ansible.

Cloud and DevOps Engineering

Cloud and DevOps Engineering is an industry-designed DevOps training program that will help you acquire the key skills needed to be a DevOps expert. You will be able to acquire the complete DevOps methodologies to bridge the gap between IT development (Dev) and operations (Ops) teams.

Through this training, you will be able to master technologies like Linux, Automation, Cloud, Containers, Kubernetes, Openshift, Python and DevOps tools like Ansible and Git through a hands-on learning approach.

IPSR IT Finishing School Program (ITFS)

IT Finishing School (ITFS) is a full-fledged industry-oriented training program which clears the gap of a candidate between their academic studies and the IT/ITES industry. This program equips the candidate to face the new and emerging challenges in the Industry through an Outcome Based Education system from IPSR. 

Even if the candidate is having lack of technical knowledge / insufficient practical skills / fewer marks / back papers / Poor aptitude / poor communication skill/interview failures etc., we can make them ‘industry-ready’ through our IT Finishing School.

The main attraction of ITFS is that, after the technology training, the candidate will be working as an intern, along with the Development / Support / Research / Digital Marketing division (based on the course track) of IPSR, the first public limited IT company in central Travancore, having centres at  Kottayam, Cochin, Calicut – City & CyberPark, handling live projects which brings a bright exposure in their IT/ITES career. The practical knowledge (with an experience certificate from an IT company) that a candidate gains during the internship will help them to overcome the year gap and incompetence.

Through our ITFS program, we have placed students even with back papers in up to 44 subjects, year gaps of more than 10 years and from Non – IT backgrounds like B.Com, B.Sc., Hotel Management etc.
