Meet Our Student- Sreehari…
Sreehari completed his Undergraduate program in 2014, where he had multiple back papers. After completing his course, Sreehari was doubtful about his career plan. So he quickly joined for one odd job where he worked as a Project Coordinator in Bangalore. He worked there for nearly 2 years. During this time he was not able to acquire IT related skills, so he quit his job in 2016. Later on, he made the decision to join CAT Entrance. At his first attempt he was not able to make it, and the second attempt also due to health issues. Later he was not much confident in his third attempt. But that didn’t stop him.
Getting so desperate, he joined the MSC in Engineering & Management in the UK. Due to the pandemic situation he came back to India where he completed his final thesis. Unfortunately he was unable to go back to the UK since his visa has expired.
Throughout all of those challenging years, Sreehari gained only a few small roles, but nothing grand enough to get his career launched. He didn’t have the experience or the know-how to realize his dreams. But, his days of struggle would not last forever.
Getting accepted into an organization was not an easy road for him. With growing competition among job seekers, he knew it would be essential to acquire technical skills and experience. He did not have any prior experience in the field of IT . But his hunger to learn helped him to overcome the barrier of lack of experience.
One of his friends advised him about the Red Hat Linux Certification courses and other opportunities in IPSR. Immediately, he approached the IPSR counselor to enquire about the details about the courses, and asked for career advice. Before joining IPSR he was pretty confused on opting a programming or a system administration course. Although he didn’t have a direct meeting, our career counselors contacted him remotely to know about his future goals, educational backgrounds and interests. With all these inputs our career counselor advised him to choose the Linux Training Program in IPSR and made a crystal clear idea on how to pursue it without changing his long term goals.
After all the inquiries he made a firm decision to select Red Hat Linux Training Course, Sreehari was very much interested to learn about Cloud and AWS, Since he didn’t have much technical knowledge, our team helped him to learn from the basics of Red Hat Linux. In order to do that he chose the IPSR IT Finishing School Program. During his internship he developed and enhanced technical and computational skills from the TrainingTeam & experts of IPSR. The internship program has opened many doors for him and caused to gain experience that guided him in professional life. It also helped him strive to accomplish his career goals through Hands-on practices and Live projects.
The various extra-curricular opportunities during the internship were also definitely helpful for him, especially on the practical side of his job. It was a fantastic learning experience. He learned a great deal about the Aptitude skills, Soft skills and Communication Skill Program.
He focused on the RHCE Course, sought out resume advice from the career advisors and started to attend interviews “With all the help he received, now he gained full time employment in Scaleios as Cloud Engineer.”
Getting practical experience is as important as getting good grades in your academics. However, it is not as easy to enter the corporate world directly as it requires proper guidance, so that you move in the right direction. Sreehari’s story is an excellent example of how a little patience and a proactive attitude can go a long way in achieving your career goals!
