Let’s have a look into the journey of our student Akhil Nath V…
After completing his B.Com degree, Akhil Nath V tried to get into the military forces. Despite his extensive efforts, it didn’t happen. So he decided to push aside his passion and try something different.
He was not particularly interested in an accounting career, instead he wanted to get a job in the IT field. But he was not interested in coding either. He then realized that there are many opportunities available out there in the IT Industry which doesn’t need coding skills.
With extensive research, he learned that there are a lot of career opportunities for Linux System Administrators and Cloud Engineers. During this period, Dr. Brijesh George John’s YouTube video on Cloud and DevOps introduced him to IPSR. Then he decided to join IPSR.
The success stories of several non-IT background students with career gaps too inspired him to join IPSR. As he had no prior experience, he thought of joining ITFS at IPSR to bridge the experience gap by doing an internship.
The Biggest Challenge:
As a person with no IT background, he felt he needed to educate himself about the upcoming IT boom. Besides, he also wanted to explore how he could use his skills better. And he realized that if he wanted to learn cloud computing, he first needed to learn Linux basics. He decided to learn the RHCE course at IPSR
He interned with our tech support team and tried to improve himself by researching and learning more about Linux and cloud computing.

The industrial knowledge that the mentor had provided in real-case scenarios helped him tremendously in completing his RHCE course. His mentor’s reviews on the project assignments helped him understand the different areas for improvement. He says “The mentors were really helpful in delegating tasks among the team, reviewing the work, and getting the best work out of the team.”

AkhilNath V made a wise and very good choice by enrolling in the ITFS training programme of IPSR because this industry-focused programme not only concentrated on the curriculum but also on interview preparation, aptitude training, and communication development.
IT Finishing School (ITFS) is a full-fledged industry-oriented training program which clears the gap of a candidate between their academic studies and the IT/ITES industry. At ITFS, after the technology training, the candidate will be working as an intern, along with the Development/Support/Research/Digital Marketing division of IPSR, based on the course track.
Akhilnath said, “ITFS is the only reason why I was placed today in this company.” He said that the tasks provided during the ITFS program helped him to research more and that research helped to crack the interview questions.
He was able to pass the interview held by BQ Technologies because of his commitment, perseverance, and enthusiasm, as well as the guidance, instruction, and mentoring provided by IPSR’s training team. At the moment, he is employed at BQ Technologies as a System Administration Trainee.
