Step by Step Procedure on How to Become a Local Guide!
Becoming a Google Local Guide is easy. Just go to the Google Local Guide website and Get Started. If you have an existing Google account, then you can link it to that, otherwise, just sign up and you’re on your way. Then all you need to do is leave reviews and ratings and upload images of places you’ve been.
Let’s check how it works on your computer
1.On your computer Go to Google Local Guides and Click on “Get started”.
2. If you are already a local guide you will see the below screen. In that case, just click on the”See your contributions” button.
3.If You are New to this then you will have to type in your email and Click on Next
4.Then enter your password and Click Next
5.Enter your city, Tick on Checkboxes and click on Become a Local Guide.
6.On the next screen, you will see a welcome message and you can start contributing as a local guide by clicking on “Start contributing”.
7. This is the Place where you will see your local guide level status and the points you earned.
8.Close this level status by clicking on the “X”
9.Search for the place you would like to Review on. You will also get nearby Suggestions .
10. For example I am clicking on the nearby suggestion which google gave me and you will see their google by business listing gets opened. Just click on reviews
11.The click on “Write a Review”
12.Here you can give your ratings, write a beautiful review and add photos. Please keep in mind the maximum inputs you give the maximum points you will receive.
13. After entering all the required information click on Post.
14.On the next screen, you can see a thank you message and you can click on “see your reviews” to see the reviews.
15.Here you can see that just by writing One detailed Review I have received 41 points.
Here is the trick. Add more photos to earn more points. Because the photos weigh more points.
16.And to get a local guide badge you need to get 250 points. And that is very easy. You just have to Add more photos and write detailed reviews and if you are good at videos. You can add videos.

- Once you have completed the process of becoming a local guide on your computer You just have to open the Maps app on your mobile
2.Click on the contribute Tab at the bottom to start contributing
3.Sometimes you will also get suggestions to review the places you have visited .
4.You can start contributing by rating the place
5.and another window will open up to share more about your experience. You can write your beautiful review and Add photos here.
6.Once you are done with your contributions click on the post to post your contribution.
7.You will see an image showing how much you earn in ratings, reviews and photos.
