A model of selected HR interview questions
To Tide over the challenges of a job interview one needs a thorough preparation both technically and mentally. For topping the selection list of HR round you require a clear perception on the priorities of the company and an ability of sharp intelligent response to the employer’s questions.
It may not be possible to design a unique format of response for any questions in an HR round as the job profile and employer expectation keep on changing. To be successful in HR is a skill; IPSR provides ample opportunities to the ITFS and other regular students a variety of mock sections to brainstorm their ideas and response to fit various contexts.
Here is one such response to few most commonly asked HR interview questions by one of our RHCE student.
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Strength: I am a perfectionist and straight forward person, I make people friends easily, I am a self-motivated and positive thinker.
Weakness: I am quite argumentative over things, I even do other people’s work not letting them do theirs, I am quite talkative and I used to argue over the same topic till I get some reasonably good answer, But I have tried changing many of these habits, in which my weaknesses have turned out to be various beneficial factors in many aspects.
Can you work under pressure?
Yes, sir, I can work under pressure. Because I personally believe that if you work under pressure then you can work efficiently and give better output. Without pressure man becomes lazy.
What are your goals?
My long-term goals are toward making a positive impact in the company through my expertise and ethics. I also look forward to developing myself in leadership areas through experience and training offered by the company.
My short term goal is to get the job in a reputed company.
What are your outside interests?
I like gardening. I have many types of plants in my garden. I take care of them. And I feel. Whenever I spend time in my beautiful garden, it helps me reducing my stress.
In many difficult situations in my life. When I go and start thinking in my garden. It has shown always a new path. A new solution to me. It’s fun spending time there.
How much salary do you expect?
As I’m a fresher. Salary is a not my first priority. According to my knowledge and company norms give considerable Salary.
