Is it necessary for me to upgrade from RHEL 4.0 to RHEL 6.0?
RHCEs on RHEL 4.0, whose certification become non-current from Jan 10, 2011. So you need to upgrade from RHEL 4 to RHEL 5. The upgradation to RHEL 5 is possible only upto Feb 25, 2011, after which RHEL 5 will not be available and you will have to upgrade directly to RHEL 6. Now upgradation from RHEL 4 to RHEL 5 at just Rs.7,500/-

How can I upgrade my RHCE under RHEL 4.0 to RHEL 6.0?
There are two ways to upgrade from RHEL 4 to RHEL 6
At first upgrade from RHEL 4 to RHEL 5, then upgrade from RHEL 5 to RHEL 6.
Or you can directly upgrade from RHEL 4 to RHEL 6. But there is chance of risk and fees will be more.

Is there any special offer to upgrade from RHEL 4.0 to RHEL 6.0?
Total cost is currently reduced to just Rs.12,500/-
(RHEL 4 to RHEL 5) + (RHEL 5 to RHEL 6) = Rs.7,500/- + Rs.5,000/-
You can avail the special offer before March 31, 2011.

How can I upgrade my RHCE under RHEL 5.0 to RHEL 6.0?
Those who want to upgrade from RHEL 5 to RHEL 6, need to write two exams RHCSA and RHCE on RHEL 6.

Is it necessary for me to upgrade from RHEL 5.0 to RHEL 6.0?
RHEL 5 would be current, till release of RHEL 7.0. So it's not essential to upgrade it right now.

But,  if you had registered and certified as RHCE between Dec 1, 2010 & Feb 28, 2011, you may avail a special offer. If you meet the above criteria, you may upgrade to RHCE in RHEL 6 at just Rs.2,500/- for each exam, i.e. a total of Rs. 5,000/- only. This offer is valid only through Mar 01, 2011 to Mar 31, 2011. After that you need to pay full fee.

I am an RHCT under RHEL 5.0. Can I take the RHCE exam under RHEL 6.0?
RHCT under RHEL 5 is not equivalent to RHCSA. If the RHCT certified candidate wants to upgrade into RHCE on RHEL 6.0, the candidate will have to take up two exams. i.e., RHCSA and RHCE on RHEL 6.0

What is the difference between RHCSA and RHCT?
RHCSA shall now be a universal entry point into the Red Hat certification programs. In RHEL 6, RHCSA replaces Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT).

I had my RHCE under RHEL 4.0 and had my RHCSS. Will my RHCSS be current?
You have to upgrade your RHCE on RHEL 6 to make RHCSS current.

I had undergone 2 modules of my RHCSS under RHEL 5.0. Can I continue with my RHCSS?
Yes, RHEL 5 is current till release of RHEL 7. So your RHCSS will be current.

I had undergone 2 modules of my RHCSS under RHEL 4.0. Can I write next modules?
Before January 2011 you have to take modules of RHCSS on RHEL 4. After that you need to upgrade RHCE to write RHCSS.
