IPSR has always been a pioneer when it comes to conducting seminars and workshops in Cutting Edge Technologies and has many firsts to its credit. Major events era2000 @ ipsr - The First National Seminar in E-commerce on 25th June at Mammen Mappilai Hall, Kottayam. Sessions included seminars by Dr.N. Jayasankaran, Director, Bharathidasan Institute of Management on the 'Relevance of e-commerce in Modern Business', Dr.Saji Gopinath, Asst. Professor, IlM  on 'Cyber Laws and e-banking'. Mr.Jijo R Mathew, Manager (E-business solutions), EBM made a presentation on the 'Technical aspects of E-commerce'. A panel discussion of professionals from leading companies like Infosys, IBM, Satyam, Microsoft, Dept of Telecom, Kerala IT Mission was also arranged. One day Seminar and Lecture Series - As part of these series, a seminar on 'Web Designing and Internet Techniques' by Abey Mullassery, Managing director, Rubgusto Technologies, Trivandrum was organised. The second lecture  in these series was held on 29 February at B C M College, Kottayam in association with their Mathematics Association. Prof. Kalynaraman, Kerala University, Mujeeb M.K and,and Sarathchandra Prasad, Technopark, Trivandrum delivered a lecture on Internet and IT Enabled Services. As part of INDEX 2000(Small Industries Exhibition), on Ist  March, IPSR in association with Kerala State Small Industries Association and Cochin Computers organized a lecture on 'Application of Computers in Small Scale Business'. The resource person was Prof. Kalyanaraman, Professor of Statistics, Kerala University. A. Pushkaran, Manager, District Industries Centre, Kottayarn inaugurated the function and V N Vasavan, President, District Co-operative Bank accorded the special address. IPSR periodically conducts programmes like orientations, seminars, workshops, etc. in Emerging Areas in the IT Industry. Some of our forthcoming events are: IPSR, in association with Malayala Manorama will jointly hosted a computer  Hardware & Networking Seminar series elaborating the emerging job prospects in the field of Hardware & Networking.  The participants will be provided free subscription of Malayala Manorama Thozhil Veedhi for 5 months. The seminar was conducted at Kottayam, Kochi, Kozhikode, Pathanamthitta, Thodupuzha & Kannur.
